PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to download the latest batch of games this week. Here's the exact time they'll be available.

While PS Plus had an excellent month in August with the likes of the excellent Sea of Stars joining the service, September is a large step down. A PS Plus price increase was announced alongside the PS Plus Essential September 2023 games: Saints Row, Generation Zero, and Black Desert – Traveler Edition. Thankfully, the PS Plus Extra September 2023 titles fare a bit better with some cult classics, but there's nothing mind-blowing to really justify a price increase.

The standout title from the PS Plus Extra September 2023 lineup has to be Sid Meier's Civilization 6 which is the latest in the long-running strategy game series. It's a series that has caused countless people to play for 'just one more hour' and suddenly end up still playing at 5am. Another standout is the critically acclaimed RTS title 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim which was heavily praised for its narrative when it launched back in 2021.

PS Plus Extra and Premium September 2023 release time

PS Plus Extra and Premium titles are revealed on the second Wednesday of the month and released the following Tuesday every month. With that in mind, the PS Plus Extra and Premium September 2023 games lineup will be released on Tuesday, September 19at 10am BST / 5am EDT / 2am PDT. The PS Plus page on the PlayStation Store typically takes a little while to update, but if you search for the titles on the store you should be able to download them. Unlike PS Plus Essential, which rotates every month, the PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be available for the foreseeable future (with most games staying for a year).

These titles are released alongside the PS Plus Extra titles, but only those with a Premium subscription will be able to download them.

Games leaving PS Plus in September 2023

The following titles are set to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium when the new batch releases on Tuesday, September 19 according to the PlayStation Store:

• Deathloop
• Nidhogg 2
• Through the Darkest of Times
• Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
• Watch Dogs
• Watch Dogs 2

Unfortunately, unlike Xbox Game Pass, there isn't a discounted rate available for titles leaving the service. You'll need to pay full price for them to keep playing these games once they're removed.
