TOWIE's Clelia Theodorou gives birth months after horror car crash

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Clelia Theodorou has announced she has given birth to her first child.

The 28-year-old announced she was expecting a baby with boyfriend Tommy Cole back in March. Tragically just three months later, the reality TV star lost her mum in a horrific car crash - and almost died herself. Despite suffering 'terrible injuries' in the accident, both Clelia and her 'miracle baby' survived.

Now she has shared the happy news that her little girl arrived safely on Saturday September 16 and "both mum and baby are doing well". Clelia took to Instagram to share the first picture of her, Tommy and their baby - who they have named Cielo Elizabeth Cole - as a family of three.

She wrote: "The moment we were desperately waiting for came 2 weeks and 2 days early on September 16th 2023 at 6.53pm and we couldn't be happier. Mummy and Daddy's little miracle, Cielo Elizabeth Cole, decided enough was enough and she was ready to meet us!"

In the shared post, new dad Tommy wrote: "The respect I have for @cleliatheodorou is immense. She managed to deliver naturally with just gas and air in just a few hours. A real life superwoman. Both Mum & Baby are doing so well."

Clelia and Tommy, who met on TOWIE, announced the news they were expecting their first baby together back in March by sharing a clips of a positive pregnancy test and ultrasound scan photos. The social media post also showcased Clelia's blossoming baby bump and an outfit that appeared to tease their due date was sometime in October.

Alongside the video, they wrote: "It's been too hard keeping this one to ourselves but we are beyond excited to tell you all that our little one is on the way. We cannot wait to meet you baby Cole".

Sadly, Clelia lost her mum in May this year following a horrific car crash. Opening up about the crash at the time, she shared pics of herself in hospital with 'more broken bones than she knew she had' and said: "My terrible injuries after weeks in hospital but it's with the biggest regret to say that my beautiful Mum couldn't heal from hers. The person I never, ever wanted to say goodbye to. Who loved me unconditionally, the pure definition of a mother's love."

She continued: "My heart will never heal from this, life will never ever be the same. It just doesn't feel real and it never will, I just want my mum back."

Clelia went on to say that her "precious miracle baby" is doing well and "powering throughout it all" in the heartbreaking Instagram post shared this evening, which consisted of a statement and black and white snaps of Clelia and her mother together.

Paying tribute to her mum, she added: "I will always make sure they know how much you already loved them and I promise they will always know they had the strongest, most caring, hilarious, giving and loving Nan they could ever have dreamt of. I go through multiple emotions on a daily basis and the road to my recovery physically is a long one, but our miracle baby gives me so much hope and I will do everything I can to be even half the mum to my baby that my mum was to me."
